Companies see advantages in using electronic travel expense claims, but only a minority of them actually wants to use them. Paper travel claims will continue to be the norm in the future.

Good things come to those who wait – this clearly also applies to the use of electronic bills. No matter how current a company’s IT equipment or networks are, paperless billing is still far from being the standard in travel management.

…70% of Travel Managers do NOT use any special analysis tool?

Although 83% of respondents say their organization analyzes travel expenses, only 30% say they use special tools for this purpose. Again, size is an influential factor. While 52% of the large spenders use special tools to analyze travel expenses, that figure falls to 29% for small spenders. In spite of the low take-up, the majority of respondents agree there are several benefits to introducing an analysis tool.
