I think it would be a great idea if AirPlus could invoice on a daily basis and then have payment due on the same day every week, bi-weekly or monthly.

Key benefits would be:

  • lower credit lines needed for customers
  • for legal firms/consultancies quicker potential turnaround for onward billing

Carbon offsetting

I would appreciate it, if more agencies integrated a carbon offsetting option. The most online booking engines I know, don’t offer such an option. But as everybody knows, we have to change our travelling manners – the need of protecting the environmet should finally be accepted by all travel-managers and their – agencies.

This way I’d like to call on every business traveler, travel-manager and travel agency to support carbon offsetting programs and to think twice, if every business trip is needed.

Climate-neutral business travel combines ecological vision with economical interests. “Carbon-offset programs” make environmental awareness practicable.

It’s not always “the others”. All means of transportation and those who use them contribute approximately 20% to the greenhouse gas emissions that are changing the world’s climate. While CO2 emissions have receded in all other areas of the western world, traffic-related emissions continue to climb significantly throughout the world. Business travel plays a significant role in this.
