…70% of Travel Managers do NOT use any special analysis tool?

Although 83% of respondents say their organization analyzes travel expenses, only 30% say they use special tools for this purpose. Again, size is an influential factor. While 52% of the large spenders use special tools to analyze travel expenses, that figure falls to 29% for small spenders. In spite of the low take-up, the majority of respondents agree there are several benefits to introducing an analysis tool.

Corporate cards are the favorite method of paying for business expenses, but they are not ubiquitous. Even though corporate cards are regarded as best practice for numerous reasons relating to transparency and process efficiency, they are used only by 59% of respondents, followed by private credit card (35%), cash (including debit card – 25%), invoice/remittance (23%) and cash advance (10%).
