Why women fly more affordably and men cancel less often.

According to an AirPlus analysis of the European market, women appear to plan and carry out their business trips differently than men. The basis for this statement: More than twelve million flights booked annually throughout the world. In the process, men and women were identified by the Mr./Ms./Mrs./Miss code on the ticket. The data provided insight into the various aspects of planning and taking a trip.

Airports must be safe – but how do travelers react to the precautions currently in discussion? The use of so-called body scanners at airports remains controversial. Blog readers have voted, showing themselves to be skeptical about the use of these so-called body scanners.

Body scanners record the surface of the human body beneath the clothing and display it on monitors. This should reveal hidden objects that an airport’s conventional metal detectors do not show. At present, body scanners are only being tested in Europe at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, for example.

Business travelers respond to recent terrorist activity with perspective that focuses on fundamental intelligence weakness, not lapses at the airport.

Airlines have proven a target for terrorists, but are they an easy target? The consensus, after a Nigerian passenger attempted on December 25 to mix and detonate explosives on a Northwest Airlines flight en route from Amsterdam to Detroit, is quite possibly yes. There is controversy, however, about what aspects of international airport security need to be addressed and how best to do it.
